#Firearmsafe
#Firearmsafe (Firearm Safety Training Ltd) is a Christchurch-based Health and Safety training company that specialises in providing education, training and support to organisations that require their employees to operate firearms as a part of their working role.
Section 36(3)(f) of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) requires organisations, so far as reasonably practicable, to provide information, training, instruction, or supervision necessary to protect all persons from risks arising from their work. This applies to firearm use as with any other risk.
(Braden Sloper, Chief Advisor to Chief Executive Worksafe - 20/12/22)
Our core business is to visit your place of work and provide annual firearm safety training, in a very similar fashion to that of yearly first aid training. We hold more than 70 deactivated (inert) firearms which allows us to carry out individual staff competency assessments on every type of firearm legally available here in New Zealand. The training we offer allows employers to demonstrate their compliance to the HSWA, improve individual core competencies and to promote a firearm safe work environment.
#Firearmsafe was established three years ago and has been providing services throughout New Zealand. Our list of clients is always expanding and includes schools, colleges, businesses, organisations, councils, museum Staff, Mountain Safety Council/NZ Police Service and the NZDF.
